Miss Janet Preston
Associate Lecturer
Background
Janet Preston was appointed Associate Lecturer in Fine and Applied Art at the University of Ulster in September 2005. As an artist she has been exhibiting her work since 1990. She has been invited to exhibit her work as well as having her prints selected for worldwide annuals/biennales/triennials. She has been the recipient of many Awards, Prizes, Commissions, and Residencies both nationally and internationally. Her work is included in public and private collections in Ireland, US and Macedonia. She also taught as a part-time lecturer at The Belfast Institute of Further and Higher Education from 1998-2005.
Education
She took a Post-Grad in Applied Arts in 1991. In 1999 she graduated from the University of Ulster, Belfast with a first class BA Hon. Degree in Fine Art.
Research Fields
Her main research area is Printmaking, both traditional and digital techniques.
