Background
Anthony (Anto) Hutton was appointed to a lectureship in Design at the University of Ulster in 1990. He helped start an Msc in Computing and Design in 1991 starting an academic career revolving around collaborative projects and courses with the faculties of engineering and Informatics. He has worked on numerous industrial projects involving user interface design and software development.
Education
He took a B.Des in Industrial Design at The National College of Art and Design in Dublin in 1986. In 1987 he was commended with a Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Design at Glasgow School of Art winning the Glasgow Ship Builders Award. In 1994 he completed a Masters in Education at the University of Ulster.
Research Fields
His main research areas are User Interface Design and Computational and Cognitive Models of Creativity.
