Mr. Lee Cadieux
Lecturer in Animation
Background
Lee Cadieux is originally from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. He was appointed to a lectureship in Animation at the University of Ulster in 2003. His academic career follows a twenty year international career as an Cartoon Animator and Director. Shortly after joining the University he was made Course Director for the Bdes Design & Communication programme. His faculty responsibilities include Entrepreneurship and he sits on the faculty Teaching and Learning Committee. He belongs to the Research Institute for Art and Design and he is a member of the HE Academy.
Education
Lee attended Sheridan College's Classical Animation Programme in Oakville, Ontario, Canada. The programme is considered by the Animation Industry as the foremost programme of this type. He is currently studying a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education Practice.
Research Fields
Lee has been a practising Cartoon Animator and Director for over two decades.
Other areas of specialist practice have included documentary film making and music performance and recording. Current research interests include animation and documentary film production linked with traditional Irish culture and music.

Lee has been employed as a Cartoon Animator and Director on numerous productions for such studios as Warner Bros., Walt Disney Animation, Nelvana and D.I.C.
