Mr Mark Ainsworth
Background
Born in Blackpool 1954, between 1980-82 he was visiting lecturer at a number of leading UK art schools including, Chelsea, St Matins & Leeds. He was appointed lecturer in painting at the University of Ulster in 1982 He is currently a member of staff in the Fine & Applied Art course. He was elected a member of The London Group in 2005.
Education
He took a B.A. Hones at Ravensbourne College of art 1973-76 and was awarded a First class Hons degree. From 1977-1980 he studied at the Royal College of Art.
Research Fields
His creative field is in the area of painting, and he is interested in the neurological phenomena of cognitive fluidity. He has also produced educational videos on the materials & methods of painting.
